We celebrated the winter holidays and our first semester of electives with Winter Fest 2008! We ate from a big buffet and watched many of our young women perform and entertain! Congratulations to all those who won special awards and to all the performers!
We hope everyone has a wonderful winter break and great holidays! We will see you back January 5th for a brand new 2009! Start setting your goals :-)
Many of our 6th graders volunteered to create holiday cards for soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq. Thank you to Ms. Shannon's family who offered their time and effort to make this happen!
We held a really wonderful Career Day for our 6th graders. They learned about 3 different fields of work: Publishing, Software Engineering, and Music Direction. Thank you to all our participants!
THANK YOU to Brooklyn Heights Cinema and Amy Sewell, the director of "What's Your Point, Honey?", for making our film screening of this very inspiring film for young women possible! And thank you to our teachers and staff for their participation!
We had a wonderful discussion afterward and the girls will carry this inspiration with them throughout their 6th grade year and beyond!
Lots of fun events in October: the ribbon cutting ceremony for our new building, parent conferences, after school electives have begun and some of these events below! [for more photos, click on photo albums]
